Getting There

MAICC (Conference Venue) is situated at the heart of Athens and is easily accessible by metro, bus and trolleybus. It is also located within walking distance from a variety of hotels of all stars and standards. Getting to and from the city centre or other locations is quite easy:

  • 10 min. from the city centre.
  • 40 min. from Athens International Airport.

By Metro: There is a metro station right next to the main entrance of MAICC (Conference Venue) called “Megaron Moussikis” from which one can access it from both the airport and the city centre using metro line 3 (Blue Line).

From the airport:

Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” is located 33 km southeast of Athens and serves all international and domestic flights. The airport is easily accessible from MAICC (Conference Venue) and the city centre by taxi, express bus or metro.

 

  • By Taxi: A taxi journey from the airport to the city centre takes around 40 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs €38 (flat fare from 5:00 a.m. to midnight) and €54 (flat fare from midnight to 5:00 a.m.).
  • By Bus: The express bus line X95 departs every 20 minutes approximately from the airport towards Syntagma Square. This direct ride to Athens city centre lasts about 40 minutes and the fare costs €6 per person.
  • By Metro: Line 3 (Blue Line) departs every 30 minutes from the airport. The ride to the city centre lasts about 40 minutes and the fare costs €10 per person.
