Dear Colleagues, dear friends,

As hosts of the FoodMicro2022 Conference which unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, had to be postponed twice, we have been working tirelessly to finally be able to welcome you all in Greece and ensure a successful and productive Conference.

The last 2 years, were a real challenge for every single one of us. As we all are trying to get our lives back, we are really happy to announce that FoodMicro2022 Conference is scheduled to be held in Athens on August 28 to 31, 2022.

As we advance with the preparation for our long-awaited Conference, our aim is to bring to you a high-standard scientific event, whilst keeping as our first priority the health and wellbeing of participants in compliance with all health regulations and protocols, for that reason the Organizing Committee decided to hold the 2022 Conference, in a hybrid format.

The Scientific Committee, keeping up with all new trends and data in the Food Microbiology sector, has been working hard to prepare an attractive and high-standard Scientific Program.

I am confident that the aura of the Hellenic millennia – old intellectual heritage together with the Next Generation Challenges in Food Microbiology, will have a positive impact on the enthusiasm of the delegates’ participation and the productivity and success of the Conference.

The opportunities to explore the rich heritage of our historic city, in which the foundations of the most cherished principles of our western civilization were born 2500 years ago, are truly limitless.

Therefore, we look forward to welcoming you all in Athens, in August 2022.
